Microneedling

Acne Scar Reduction, Fine Lines & Wrinkle Reduction, Retexture & Brighten

What is microneedling?

Your body’s ability to heal itself is a marvelous scientific discovery. Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, harnesses this ability by creating microscopic ‘induced injuries’ on the skin to target collagen hidden within the dermal layers of the skin. Your skin rushes collagen closer to the surface in an act of self-healing resulting in a much plumper & fresh appearance. Completely non-invasive, extremely effective & minimal downtime.

PROCESS

If it’s your first visit with us, we will begin by conducting a consultation and skin assessment to ensure we have chosen the most suitable treatment for your skin type, skin concerns, and overall goals.

CLEANSE

Before we begin your Microneedling treatment, we deep cleanse and degrease your skin to ensure no residue or traces of makeup are remaining on the surface.

NUMBING CREAM

Next, we apply a topical numbing cream to the treatment areas, and allow it to sit on your skin for 15-30 minutes.

TREATMENT

After wiping off the numbing cream, we divide the treatment area into sections to focus on one section at a time. For optimal results, each area is treated with 2-3 passes of microneedling.

AFTER TREATMENT

After your treatment is completed, your skin will appear to have visible pinpoint bleeding. This is normal and indicates the treatment was performed properly.

HYALURONIC ACID

The treatment is concluded with an application of our signature hyaluronic acid serum to allow maximal nourishment and healing to the skin.

PREPARATION

There are a few steps that our clients must complete in preparation for treatment. These include:

Avoid sun exposure.

Do not take any pain medication like Advil or Ibuprofen.

Reduce or stop using harsh skincare products with drying agents a week before.

Do not book if you have active acne, rosacea, sunburn or extreme sensitive skin.

Stop the use of retinoids one week before treatment.

POST TREATMENT

You may experience redness for the following two days after treatment. After initial treatment, your skin will begin the exfoliation process and start flaking. The full healing period may require 3-7 days post-treatment where your skin will appear mildly “sunburnt”.
Our clients report softer, dewier skin after their first session.
A full microneedling treatment series consists of 4-6 consecutive sessions over a period of 5-6 months. Maintenance is required once every 4- 6 months to follow.
